A last thought..
Just wanted to make a last argument, most of the diseases that we vaccinate for are fatal to fetuses. Most of them cause miscarriage or stillbirth and the mother could not even know she's been exposed. Pretty scary stuff.

Oh rats, I forgot to post that there are also lots of people out there that are healthy carriers for some of these diseases, like diphtheria. So, it wouldn't be wise to assume that your child can't get them if they're never around strangers as mom and dad can be carriers and not know it.
